Precision Engineered Homes

Tomorrow's Building Technology ... Today

Housing development has never faced so many challenges. UK Government housing development targets, the sustainability agenda, carbon footprinting, skills shortages and the 'credit squeeze' combine to put increasing pressure on developers and house builders to innovate and continuously improve the way we build homes in the UK.

At PEH, we believe that off-site manufacturing (OSM) represents the future of home building. OSM refers to the process whereby homes are built away from the building site in a controlled factory environment. Around 10% of homes in Canada, 15% of homes in Germany and 50% of homes in Finland are built using OSM technologies. The system has proved particularly successful in locations where the climate is challenging but can be easily adapted to suit any environment worldwide.

Off-site Manufacture

Located in the "Capital of the Highlands", the vibrant city of Inverness in the north of Scotland, PEH acts as exclusive Scottish distributor for two world-renowned OSM systems: the Canadian open-panel Interhabs system and the German closed-panel WeberHaus system. Both systems typically provide significantly improved margins for developers through reductions in on-site construction time, high energy efficiency ratings and excellent customer satisfaction.

To maximise the benefits of OSM for our customers, we can provide architectural and construction services covering every aspect of the design and build process, from basic house frame to full turnkey development solution. Architectural services are made available through Precision Design Ltd and building services through Precision Build Ltd. Clients can also take advantage of our experience in development management by procuring services ranging from site evaluation and feasibility analysis through to design team leadership and coordination, construction, marketing and sales.
